Everything Loved in June

June was filled with two weddings, an engagement party, Father's Day, a fish fry, the hubs birthday and an Astro's baseball game.

It also reminded me to give credit to my Bare Minerals make-up that I have gone back to using again the last couple of months. I can not tell you how much I love this make up. It is so light, refreshing and covers very well. I love the way it goes on my skin and the seamless finish it leaves. With the heat that we have been having in Houston, my mineral makeup has held up and has been great! It is also good for your skin, so when you sweat, your pores are not do not get clogged. I wear the medium shades.
My Swiffer Wet Jet! I have not given this the credit it deserves either! I have had mine for several months now, but originally when I had seen the commercials on these, I was skeptical. That was until one of my best friends Jenny told me that she loved this thing and uses it all the time. I promptly went out and got one! It truly is fabulous! I mop more because of it. It is so light and easy to use. It cleans my floors very well and uses a 99% antibacterial solution, killing most all household germs. With it being summer time, I am using it more than ever; we are outside a lot more, we are watering our yard everyday, which in turn leaves our sweet dog Dakota with wet paws more often and when it is time to come in, well those wet paws leave cute little paw prints on my tile. I can whip this thing out and clean up right away when needed and it is hassle free.

Chipotle! Well.....lets just say that I can not get enough of the yummy steak burrito bowels lately! Ahh, and those not so great for you salty chips...mmmmm good.

Everything Loved in April

Rain, and a lot of it! April Showers bring May flowers has sure been the case for us this past April! We have gotten so much rain this past month and it was very much needed. We got about 10" of rain in the middle of April and about 12" of rain at the end of April. The rain was appreciated but the flooding during the end of month was un-expected and devastating to those whose homes and/or cars were flooded. Our grass and trees are so green and full of life because of all this rain. On a downfall, all this water is bringing on lots of misquotes and bugs.....ewww. I will be calling the exterminator soon!

Finally, my Chesnut Brown Antique Pinch Pleated Curtains from JC Penney. I ordered them when they were on sale (and they hardly ever go on sale) and they arrived in just a couple of days. I paid only $69.99 a pair compared to $119.00 a pair and bought two pairs for a total of $150.00 including tax. They turned out fabulous!!! Even my sweet hubs likes them a lot. I love the way curtains make a room feel and they bring such elegance to this room. I stained the rod and bought all other accessories from Loews. I will post details on this great and easy DIY project next.

Oh and we can not forget about my Birthday present. My new Signature Medium Zoe Coach Purse. I had been on the hunt for a new nice purse and my love for Coach was calling my name. I found this beauty on the sale rack at Macy's; I took a look at it, feel in love with red, the size of this purse is just perfect, it has great inside pockets and zipper enclosure and I love how it hangs on the shoulder. And did I mention that it was on sale, from $348.00 to $261.00 and I used a $50.00 Macy's gift card. I will get so much great use out of my new Coach!

Lastly, Vacations!!! Our 5 day get-a-way cruise vacation was much needed and very relaxing! We had a great time with our very close friends and made wonderful and funny memories! Vacations are a must for us at least 2 to 3 times a year. Our last one was last October, 5 days in Vegas for my cousin's wedding! I can post pics on that soon too.

Everything Loved in February

I have been looking for a facial highlighting pen and concealer for under the eyes for a good while now and I have finally found one that I am completely in love with; Lorac Double Feature, Concealer and Highlighter found at Sephora. This concealer/highlighter duo comes with an unusual hygienic blender ball and this baby does it all! The concealer goes on so smooth and creates that very awake, full of life look under the eye and top of the cheekbone that will last all day while the highlighter feature adds that bit of shimmer for when ever you want it. The ball’s rolling motion works quickly and gently to smooth and blend the concealer and / highlighter so you do not have to use your finger tips. It is probably some of the best $24.00 I have ever spent.

Everything Loved in January

These are my new favorite shoes for the year, Mossimo's Vassie Snip Toe Pump. I have them in black and in the tan/brown color. I love the snake like print that the leather is made of. They are so cute and pretty comfortable for a heel. I got them at Target, love that store!!! I might just have to go buy another pair in the black because I have been wearing the heck out of them, LOL! Sorry the picture is blurry.

So we have been painting like crazy in our house these past several weeks and this product has saved my sanity, Premium XL Painting Accessory Pad. It is great! I got it at Sherwin Williams but they are sold at most other places that sell paint. It does wonders when painting the walls, around base boards, crown molding, bull nose edges, straight edges, corners and around nails. It is very smooth to use and easy to handle. I have hardly had to tape anything off because of this handy dandy rolling paint device.
My mom told about this glass cleaner and naturally I had to try it out for myself because my mom usually knows what she is talking about. It is wonderful!!! Hope's Perfect Glass Cleaner has a no-reside formula, is ammonia-free and 100% streak-free. It cleans glass and mirrors crystal clear and leaves my oven and microwave spotless! It can be bought at Bed, Bath and Beyond. And we can not forget about mine wonderful Wine Buffet that I scored on Sale this month and our awesome new Entertainment Center in our living room!

Everything Loved in Decmber

I bought this printed sablesoft oversized throw for two knowing well and good that the last thing I needed was another blanket. But I could not resist while shopping in one of my absolute favorite stores, Bed Bath and Beyond. The print I loved, the softness was incredible and the size was great for cuddling with the hubs, which I might add the hubs uses this throw all the time now and it is great for cuddling ;). These are not new to us but I had to share about them because they are so great; Tervis Tumblers drink ware. The hubs and I use them on a daily bases and think that they are the absolute best drinking glasses ever! They have double insulted walls so they reduce condensation and rings, they keep hot drinks hotter and cold drinks colder, they have glass like clarity, they are microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe, you can customize them, and they are guaranteed for life. You can also buy the great lids and straws that fit with them. Get some or get many, you won't be disappointed.

The hubs still can't believe that I spent money on these, but his opinions, thoughts, concerns or suggestions don't phase me when it come to my winter Nadia Crocs in the Khaki color. I saw them in a Macy's add and just HAD to have these of my own. These are the best winter, wear around the house kind of house shoe/boot. They are so comfortable and cute. I still have a hard time considering them as boots though because they are made of the 'Croc material' and I am not sure if I could see myself tucking a pair of skinny jeans in them..... but I do love them to wear on cold winter days around the house.
